Terms of Service

To use Bsheret you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be legally single and free to enter a serious relationship (never married, divorced, widowed, separated, or annulled — not in another committed partnership).
• Be using the Service in good faith, with the genuine intent to pursue marriage or a serious long-term partnership.
• Provide accurate, current, and truthful information about yourself.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate any account that we reasonably believe does not meet these requirements.

Bsheret is a private matchmaking service for the Jewish community. Our matchmakers review applicant profiles and, at their discretion, propose introductions between members. We are not an open dating site or social network: members do not browse or contact each other directly.

We do not:

• Verify the identity, background, marital status, halachic status, criminal history, or other claims of any applicant.
• Conduct background checks or any third-party verification.
• Guarantee a match, an engagement, a marriage, or any specific outcome.
• Provide therapy, counseling, religious counsel, or legal advice. Where appropriate, please consult qualified professionals.

You are responsible for your own judgment in deciding how to proceed with any introduction made through the Service. Take introductions at your own pace and exercise appropriate care when meeting anyone for the first time.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@bsheret.com if you suspect any unauthorized use. You may have only one active account at a time.

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent yourself or any material fact about your identity, age, marital status, religious background, or photographs.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, defraud, or harm any other member or any third party.
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation, recruiting, fundraising, or any purpose other than seeking a genuine relationship.
• Share another member's information (including profile content, photos, contact details, or anything your matchmaker discloses in confidence) with anyone outside the Service.
• Contact your matchmaker through unauthorized channels, or attempt to bypass the Service to avoid fees.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringes another's rights, depicts minors, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Attempt to access another member's account, scrape the Service, probe its security, or interfere with its operation.

Violation of these rules can result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without refund.

Inclusion in the Bsheret matchmaking database is free. We also offer optional paid coaching tiers as one-time purchases — current offerings and prices are shown on our services page. Payment for a coaching tier is arranged directly with our team after you apply, currently via Zelle — we never collect or store card details on the Service. Paid coaching tiers are also governed by our Coaching Services Agreement. Payments made before we moved to direct billing were processed by Stripe.

Refund policy. You may cancel a paid coaching tier and receive a full refund within three (3) business days of the date your payment is received, as described in the Coaching Services Agreement. After that period, because matchmaking is a service rendered — your matchmaker begins work promptly after enrollment — fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe a payment was made in error or you have a sincere concern, contact us at hello@bsheret.com and we'll review your situation in good faith. Discretionary refunds may be issued in full or in part at our sole judgment.

Promotional access. From time to time we may offer free or discounted access to the Service. Promotional access is subject to the same Terms and may be modified or discontinued without notice.

Our matchmakers review applicant profiles and propose introductions at their discretion. Profiles are not browsable by other members — you become visible to another member only when a matchmaker creates an introduction and marks it visible. You may be introduced to multiple potential matches over time, or to none, depending on what our matchmakers determine to be appropriate.

You agree to engage with introductions in good faith, with respect and timely communication, regardless of whether you choose to pursue the relationship further.

You retain ownership of the photos, bio, and other content you upload (“Your Content”). By uploading Your Content, you grant Bsheret a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content as necessary to operate the Service — including showing Your Content to our matchmakers and, where you have been matched, to other members. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except to the extent we are required to retain copies for legal, recordkeeping, or backup purposes for a reasonable period.

You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights in Your Content, that Your Content does not violate anyone else's rights, and that it is accurate and current to the best of your knowledge.

All rights in the Service itself — including the software, design, layout, brand, logos, and copy — belong to Bsheret or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use those materials except as needed to use the Service normally.

You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@bsheret.com. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, misrepresented yourself, harmed another member, or otherwise acted in a way that endangers the integrity of the Service. Where we terminate your account for cause, no refund is owed.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BSHERET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Bsheret does not guarantee any match, relationship, engagement, marriage, or outcome. Bsheret makes no representations about the identity, background, character, intentions, halachic status, or suitability of any other member.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BSHERET WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, OR ACTIONS OF OTHER MEMBERS — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (b) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations — in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bsheret and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your content, or your interactions with another member.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. For material changes, we'll give reasonable notice (by email or by a prominent notice on the Service). If you continue using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms still apply.
• Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
• You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction.
• These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Bsheret regarding the Service.
